Consequences of the State Land Alienation Programme in Sri Lanka

Land alienation programmes are famous worldwide as a strategy to distribute land among the landless people in country. Sri Lanka also introduced this programme history with same objective. Since now has come third generation of inhabitants, negative consequences arising. There is meager evidence formal research findings covering most important Lanka's State Alienation Programme date. Hence, main intention analyze significant from perspectives both professionals and inhabitants. Other than social, economic, environmental variables identified scholarly new variable ‘political concerns.’ The incorporates qualitative quantitative approaches. Data was collected 100 inhabitants used for analysis, including descriptive correlation, regression whereas data through depth interviews five (05) officials involved analysis under content analysis. results demonstrate that consequences, social issues outcomes. study will be useful all key stakeholders policymakers administration country, particularly revisiting process revising some regulations mitigate consequences.
